Closing up season 2017-18

On Saturday, May 19, the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra closes the 2017/18 concert season at the Synagogue starting at 20h. The program will start with Johannes Brahms’ last concert piece, Double Concerto for Violin and Cello in A minor, performed by married couple Tatiana Samouil and Justus Grimm, who perform on the world’s most prestigious stages and are known to our audience as guests of the last year’s Russian Classical music festival “Bolshoi” on Mecavnik, on Mokra Gora. In the second part of the program, the “symphonics” will perform the famous Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar, one of the most popular orchestral works of the world concert repertoire. The entire program will be led by versatile music artist, Maestro Bartolomeus Henri Van de Velde, conductor who perfected his craft in Antwerp and the United States under the world’s biggest names and collaborated with orchestras around the world, performing frequently in Budapest, Mexico, Moscow, Japan, USA. Germany (“Chamber Academy”), Slovakia (“Sinfonietta”), Buenos Aires, Seoul, China, Indonesia, Italy.

The last concert of the season is the “gift” to the audience. Admission is free.
