International Music Day

As part of the Novi Sad Music Summer, the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra will celebrate International Music Day with a concert that will be held on June 21 at 9 p.m. in the parking spot of OTP Bank. Armenian cellist Narek Haknazaryan, winner of the gold award in the cello category at the 14th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011, will perform as a soloist, and the conductor will be maestro Aleksandar Kojić. The repertoire will include the works of Šarka, the third number from the cycle “My Homeland” by composer Bedzih Smetana, Concerto for cello and orchestra in B minor, Op. 104 and Symphony no. 8 in G major, Op. 88, by composer Antonín Dvořák.
Tickets for the concert are on sale at the box office of the Musical Youth of Novi Sad (Katolička porta 2/II) every working day from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., as well as two hours before the start of the concert in the Synagogue hall. The price of the ticket is 1000 dinars, while students, pupils and pensioners have a 50% discount. Discount tickets can only be purchased in person.
The concert will be organized by the Musical Youth of Novi Sad and the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra in cooperation with Almazian Production, and is supported by the City of Novi Sad and the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
